Amendment 1: Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the government for a redress of grievances. There are many sources of the media, but there are four main purposes for the media and many jobs the media is supposed to do. The purposes are to express, educate, persuade, and to entertain audiences. The media are used as a form of communication to connect us with others, inform us of current events, and to keep us updated. The media started in the United States during the 1690s when the ink hit the paper and created the first Newspaper. We are far past the origin of the U.S. Newspaper and quite frankly Newspapers have slowly become a thing of the past. Currently when families sit down to enjoy the downtime and turn on a television, they see mainly three things: Murder, Racism, and Theft. Often the media circle their vision around the black community which can lead to tension among society. The media is a good entity of America, but they have stepped over the toes of many people in America and caused tension among social groups of society.
There is a hidden relationship between the way the media reports and continued racism. The term hidden is due to the fact that if you aren’t analyzing and purposefully looking for the correlation you would never notice that the media reports in a racist…
