The Children’s Clinic The Children’s Clinic “Serving Children and Their Families” (TCC) was founded in 1939 by a group of physicians and influential community people who acknowledged the importance of having right of entry to healthcare for all children. In speaking to Annie Bernie- Human Resource Generalist on Friday, November 28th, 2014. She had informed me that TCC was predominantly concerned with families from low income and who were at risk for healthcare problems. TCC has developed from offering weekly well-child care in one location to a full service health care center with nine different locations. They now have primary care services for children, teenagers and adults. TCC is very well known in the greater Long Beach community. They provide quality care for the under-served of all ages, offering them a true “medical home” that they could call their own. TCC first started with only twenty five people. With the new healthcare reform TCC managed to grow so rapidly now holding three hundred and twenty five employees. The rapid growth was not expected to happen so suddenly, so they have not been able to fully establish a concrete Human resource department that can manage the capacity of people it currently holds.
