If you are walking on the road and hear the word “Liposuction”, what kind of ideas would come into your head? Perhaps dangerous, risky, scalpel and bloody, or all of those terms I just mentioned. I think that’s how those rich celebrities who have more than 7 digits in their bank account spend their money with. Liposuction is a type of plastic surgery that can involve both a person’s appearance and confidence. In today’s society, the beauty standard is a skeleton-thin model being over-published by media trying to convince us to believe how “beauty” is being defined. Media nowadays brain-washed us that for a person to look beautiful, he or she must try to become like the images that are seen on television, movies, and/or magazines. They all have this in common: portray thin women or men with six packs. If we are not blessed with genetic, the easiest and fastest way to achieve this is through a type of plastic surgery call liposuction. The Hollywood figures that are so famous also encourage the common people like you and I that staying thin equals beautiful. With all these images and beauty standards that are seen everywhere, one can feel being compelled to look just like those images. Although by doing liposuction, the person CAN improve the appearance and self-image, yet it can also cause a lot of detriments which may lead to the serious health risks or death.
