During my sophomore year of high school I received my first piece of technology, an IPod touch fourth generation. I finally fit in and could finally keep up with friends and family members over social media. After spending a few days on social media and following all of the celebrities, friends, and family members I found out what the craze was about. Liking, following, tweeting, re-tweeting, posting, and pictures is what all the hype was about, knowing that a person can search anyone up and see their life through their profile. I soon came to find out that I was spending more time on social media than actually doing my work and spending my day productively. I did not only notice this with myself but with all of my friends and peers who were also teenagers. Everyone is glued to his or her social media constantly posting, liking, tweeting, and re-tweeting. Noticing these trends through out high school and teenagers it has negatively impacted my view of social media and has shown me that communication in social media causes an addiction, particularly in teenagers. Many people think communication in social networks is the end of good communication. People who would go against this would say in the twenty first century technology is rapidly producing and everyone wants the best of the best.
