The world has changed drastically over thousands of years. Every religion to a degree has some of the same fundamental similarities. There are many religious figures that influenced religion, philosophy and the society itself as we know it today. Three religious figures that hugely influenced us are Jesus, Buddha and Confucius. For the purposes of this paper, I will discuss the similarities and differences between these three concerning birth, how they were perceived at the time, and death. Each of these three we can trace something in our philosophy or society that originated from them. Birth is something that we all take for granted to be the same for everybody. In our day and age, the only difference for somebody would be a C-Section birth. Back in the day of Jesus, Buddha and Confucius, there was always a prophecy or something unusual about the mother of the child in these happenings. I will analyze these three religious figures’ birth specifically the mother, prophecy predicting birth, and actual birth. Worldly and Western culture all has something that comes from the teachings or influence of Jesus and His disciples. His influence continued thousands of years after His death. Example of His influence is that “Historians record that prior to Jesus, the ancient world left little trace of any organized charitable effort.”() An Angel named Gabriel was sent to Nazareth to a virgin named Mary who was engaged to a man named Joseph.
