Project managers may sometimes fall short when it comes to the completion of a project. The reason behind this could be from the lack of control.” Project controls are the data gathering, data management and analytical processes used to predict, understand and constructively influence the time and cost outcomes of a project or program; through the communication of information in formats that assist effective management and decision making” (Weaver, 2013). Project managers are constantly faced with obstacles that could hinder the progression of an organizations project. Project difficulty will occur, the important thing is that difficulty is overcame. (1) Project managers and senior general members see the reasons for project differently. I think the reason is because these are two different levels of knowledge and experience. As a project manager you might only focus on those issues related to your knowledge level such as, planning, scheduling, and project costs. As a senior level employee you usually focus on the big picture. If something occurs that will not affect the organization negatively; senior general managers probably does not really care about it. Project managers care about customer and management changes, technical complexities, unrealistic project plans, staffing problems and inability to detect problems.
