After taking seven different self-assessments over the course of ten weeks, I have come to find that I have a lot of strengths and weaknesses when it comes to organizational behavior. The seven assessments include: my previous knowledge of organizational behavior, age preference, emotional intelligence, decision making, how creative I am, team building, and finally which organizational culture is right for me. After completing each of these assessment, and after reading each section in the book, I have come to find my strengths and weaknesses when it comes to organizational behavior. The first self-assessment was simply to see how much I knew about organizational behavior. After taking the assessment, I didn’t know as much as I thought I did. It was a good thing that I took this course in order to better my knowledge of organizational behavior. This class will help me improve upon my leadership skills and will help me find and maintain a healthy job and relationship with my future co-workers. The text has taught me how to motivate, lead, communicate, and deal with conflict and negotiation. This will definitely help me in the future. For the second assessment, I decided to take self-assessment on age preference. Because my results suggest that I have no preference as to what age group I am working with, it makes me a stronger employee.
