Domestic violence examples includes: name-calling or putdowns, keeping a partner from contacting their family or friends, withholding money, stopping a partner from getting or keeping a job, actual or threatened physical harm, sexual assault, and stalking. Domestic violence affects so many families across the United States, including all genders, ethnic groups and all economic backgrounds every day. Domestic Violence and abuse can not only cause severe physical and emotional pain, but there are places where people can go to get help. First, who are mainly affected by domestic violence? Secondly, what are some of the causes of domestic violence? Lastly, what are the warning signs of domestic abuse and when is it time to get help? Violence against women is not a new problem, but only gets attention when it’s too late; if the people was inform about who it affected, the causes and warning sings, there is a possibility of ending domestic violence.
