The Case of Missing Time

Norris Company is running a nationwide business. It operated three printing plants. Chet Craig is the manager of central plant. There are many problems in the central plant, such as Chet could not complete his job on time; supervisors are unable to solve the daily production problems on their own; and organization structure is poor. They really need to know are what reason makes that problems happened, what have to change, and how to deal with it. There are three main problems in the central plant. One is time management. As the manager, Chet did not plan his own schedule well and not complete the project, which supposes to complete. The second is employee confidence. It seems that every supervisor has to talk

Chet should create groups between the managers who are responsible for communication between the foremen and Chet.
Another solution I think could be having two assistants, He should assign specific task and form a clear communication with his managers. He should empower employees to make their own decisions and encourage pride and confidence in the work they do. Chet should have clear chain of command; Chet must facilitate participation from all the employees. I recommend Chet to set aside time to work on his creative projects, and have his subordinates schedule appointments with him if they have something important to discuss. As well, Chet must properly delegate the tasks to the appropriate employee or supervisor. With the chain of command engage everyone with clear responsibilities. He should assign specific task and form a clear communication with his managers. He should empower employees to make their own decisions and encourage pride and confidence in the work they do.
Chet must work with individuals to ensure they are coping well with the assigned commands.
I think this will help Chet to solve most of his problems and get work organized and efficient. Looking at the video from ted, I must admit it was very nicely laid out by Jason fried, I think the takeaways from that video with respect to this case can be, Chet should have less meetings and try to get work done through emails.
