1. Calorie Intake Analysis
a. My recommended caloric values according to the USDA Supertracker website are as follows:
i. Total Calories: My recommended calorie intake has been set to 2000 total calories per day. ii. Empty Calories: The recommended amount of empty calories that I should be consuming on a daily basis is 258 or less. iii. Solid Fats: I have no specific recommended intake for solid fats, because they are included as a part of the recommended intake of empty calories. Because of this, I should simply be consuming 258 calories or less of solid fats and added sugars as a whole. iv. Added Sugars: I also have no specific recommended intake for added sugars, because they too are included as a part of the empty calories category. Once again, I should be consuming less than 258 calories of added sugars in combination with solid fats.
b. On average, my actual consumption of each of these items is as follows:
i. Total Calories: Overall, I consumed an average of 1324 calories per day. ii. Empty Calories: On average, throughout the week, 247 of my total calories consumed were from empty calories. iii. Solid Fats: I consumed an average of 147 calories from solid fats throughout the week. iv. Added Sugars: An average of 100 calories per day came from added sugars in my diet.
c. Overall, my actual caloric intake was much lower than my recommended daily values. I consumed an average of 1324 total calories each day, when I should have consumed about 2000 calories. I may…
