With the rapid growth of internet, businesses are beginning to find new ways to expand and exploit their opportunities. Most business sites lack focus and functionality. Others simply fail to take advantage of their full potential. Regardless of what market value the website is targeting, the opinions users will have play a huge role in determining the site’s level of success. Visitors that have a positive experience will be much more likely to come back later, refer friends or signup newsletters, purchase a product and make an inquiry about the service.

When developing a website, the users wants and needs should always be in the forefront of the decision making process. It doesn’t matter what type of website a firm runs, it needs to be user focused. Unfortunately, sometimes its easy to get caught up in the design and development process and create a site that satisfies the designer or the owner but doesn’t really provide visitors with much value.

What are the essentials or traits of great websites? After you visit and find yourself staying awhile what makes you stay? A sense of humor, flashy graphics…..etc, but the fundamental traits that makes a site work are more elusive. 1) Page Load Speed Although high speed internet connections are becoming more and more common, there is still a large number of internet users that are on slower dial up connection. Even with high speed network, some pages just do not load very quickly. Most of the visitors are fairly impatient and pages that load slowly could chase them away. At the very least, slow loading will reduce the number of pages that they will visit on the website. Factors that influence the load times of the page include
